Something to look at and think about

I found this via BB Blog (love BB Blog!) Washington Post’s On Being.

I’ve been working my way through each of the vignettes and have found each one both visually wonderful and thought provoking.  I especially love “eddie“  and May the turkey.

2008? How can that be?

Seriously…I feel like I’m blinking and time has flown by…I’m spending this last week of 2007 reflecting on what I’ve accomplished and planning on where I want to be for 2008. I can tell you that this has been an incredible year for me. I’ve met so many amazing people and feel like I’ve really grown both professionally and personally. Sniff. ::grin:: And many of you have helped me along the ways — in ways you can’t even begin to imagine. So…thanks.

Mostly for me — but also for you if you’re up for it — I’m posting up this “favorites of 2007” slideshow — some of these images you’ve seen, some you haven’t. But mostly, they tell the story of how I saw the world in 2007 and how amazing the weddings, kids, families, musicians and pets I’ve photographed have been. I’m honored.

So…if you haven’t already — take the time to really think back about the past year and acknowledge how you’ve changed — both the good and the bad. I don’t make resolutions — but I do make plans — and 2008 is gonna be a whopper for me - so buckle your seat belts! ::laughing::

I’m so dramatic.

Enjoy.

PS — here’s a photo that “almost” made it as my holiday card. I’m a color freak. I admit it. Admitting it is the first step to acknowledging that you have a problem. ::grin::

Have you heard about photographer’s children?

They usually aren’t particularly good in front of the camera for their poor photographer parent…

I’m just saying…and if you’re REALLY a glutton for punishment…click here.

Tammy at work

I dragged my son out on a photo shoot with me — with the charge to take pictures of me taking pictures. A budding photographer himself, M has a very unique perspective on the world and I love working with him!

(Editor’s note: Check out Kelly on the edge of that floating dock. She was sooo nervous — but did whatever it took to get the great shot! This location is one of my favorites…)

So this is what YOU see…

And this is what I see… (cool, right? I really wanted it to have a touristy vintage postcard feel — does it work?)
